Apparently I now make chocolate sex cake.
butterflies79 said it's so. The original chocolate sex cake was found at a diner in Montreal.
pax_industria and
stevefava and I have had it before. But sadly, that diner doesn't make it anymore.
But, yesterday, I reinvented it for
stevefava's bday party. It was a chocolate layer cake with raspberry filling and covered with chocolate and raspberries. There wasn't very much flour in the cake at all. Mostly chocolate and eggs. Everyone was very happy and sweet-toothed out.
It was a lovely bday dinner and it went very late. Most of the people from our building went for a walk on the beach around midnight. We played in the sand with the phosphorescent algae, which glowed green every time we touched it. It was very amusing to see our neighbor's little dog running around. It looked like he had green lightning at his paws!
And I spent the day helping out a friend of a friend whose car died near our house. Deader than dead. Like it needs a new engine dead. I was supposed to have gone to an SCA event that was run by our mutual friend, but as luck would have it, he called a few minutes before I was planning to leave. I was happy to help.
Although my day was nothing like I expected it to be, it was very good.

What chocolate stuff can I eat that doesn't have dairy in it? I hope you might know more sources than me? I think I remember that you're lactose intolerant, yes?

Dark chocolate is also usually dairy-free.

So, I'm on the dark chocolate kick (I don't particularly like dark chocolate, preferring milk chocolate, but I'm learning, damn it), if nothing else.
I just don't know about other.. non-dairy chocolate yumminess.
Looking for desserty kinds of things.

If you have Trader Joe's near you, they have a few different chocolate chips without dairy too. I think there's regular chocolate chips for baking (or eating by the handful) and bigger ones that are mint flavored. I'm pretty sure there might be white chocolate ones too, but not sure about the dairy.
Oh, and if you can find "Soy Delicious" fake ice cream - it's THE best non-dairy stuff out there!
