Back home from Potrero War. I finished the embroidery for my friend's hat and fitted her for it. It's almost done but not quite.
I'm slightly sunburned from my shoulders up and it itches. I forgot to put sunblock on this morning - oops.
I got to take a Tribal Belly Dance class yesterday and sat in on a Persian Dance class (couldn't handle the spinning with a migraine). I had a good time at this event: there were no bugs and the weather was good. It was the last event I'll be at serving the current king and queen who step down next weekend (the event is in Las Vegas and![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
stevefava has proven to be allergic to the place).
Oooh and I got to try out some Chinese injury medicine on a fighter friend and it helped! I also helped someone in our camp get rid of a migraine with acupressure and an herbal tincture! Yay!
The scenery in really Southern California is gorgeous . It reminded me of the South of France and made me feel blessed to live here. I also felt blessed to have met such wonderful people at the event who gave us food after they found out our meal plan had fallen through.
Saturday was a long, long day spent waiting for one of our friends to show up to car pool down with us. 6 hours after he was supposed to show up, he called to say that he wasn't coming. I wish I had known earlier. I was in a foul mood because of it. Hell, I could have gone to the gym instead of waiting to leave.
But today as we left the campsite and drove through some big, rolling hills, I suddenly remembered that I had been grr arrgh-y on Saturday and it no longer seemed to matter.
S and I had one of our "excellent adventures" on the way home. I was driving on the freeway and one of our tires blew. I got off the road safely but was rather freaked. We were just North of San Diego and were able to find a tire place open on the holiday, thank Goddess.
I keep forgetting it's Monday and not Sunday. I keep hearing the tv in the next room and wondering why these shows are on.
