[livejournal.com profile] beckastar pointed out that maybe other people would like to have the Animal Poison Control #s on hand too so, here you go:

National Animal Poison Control Center: 800 548-2423
They charge a fee (I paid $60 with a credit card over the phone) to give you information and will give you a case # so you can call back and not have to pay a second time. If you're calling from a vet hospital, use their phone because they will be placed at the top of the phone line.

ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center: 888 426.4430
No one picked up at 2am so I don't know what to say about them except call the other number first.

This message brought to you on behalf of Sofi T. Puppy.

My vet knew what medication was dangerous to DJ when I phoned, but it's a fairly common one, so they might have been asked before. (Note: Synthroid doesn't hurt dogs in moderate quantities, their thyroid hormones are different enough.)

For the record, what I thought Sofi had eaten was Flexeril. 7.5 milligrams in a 60lb. dog wasn't a problem. If Sofi had been a tiny dog, they would have pumped her stomach.
