The bottle brush tree is a little more red in real life. It's in our garden, actually. The sun was particularly bright, so that's why it looks pink.

Yes, but you've got weather over there and I have become a sissy when it comes to weather. San Francisco is almost too cold for me, and I'll be moving there in a year or so.

hey - i saw we have some pretty close friends in common, particularly dr_memory, gayathri, water_childe. also - acumen - who has not posted in forever, but who is a good friend. my wife and i just move to Santa Monica last year. friended you... hope you will friend back. cheers.

Ah, yes. I've heard lots of things about you - good things. I've even seen pix of your wedding on both dr_memory's and acumen's ljs and seen a pic of you on the cover of the NY Times, I think. I will definitely friend you here and maybe we can meet some day in person since we're in the same town.
