Does anyone have any experience using Boombox software to convert record albums to digital files? Our albums are just collecting dust. I'm wondering if it's worth converting them or better just to sell them to our local record store and buy cds to replace them. I'm starting to make a list now of all our albums.

I've never used Boombox, but I have hooked up a turntable to my Mac and done album-to-MP3 tranfers. It is fairly time intensive, because I had to record each album side as one long track, and then go in and cut them down into individual songs (I don't know if BoomBox does this for you). Also, depending on what kind of shape your records are in, the sound quality may be less than what it would be if you just re-bought the CDs. On the other hand, you will probably only get a couple of dollars per record on trade-ins, so you certainly won't be able to cover your costs to rebuy everything. Let me know if you want more info on the process I used (software, etc.)
