Ok, so, when I was in high school and we didn't want to pay attention in Chemistry class, we would pass around a note that would have a song lyric on it. The next person would add to it with another line from another song that would complete the thought or sentence. And it would go on and on. This is what the movie Moulin Rouge reminded me of.

I'll start with this Human League song that was stuck in my head:

And even though there was no sun today
And though you are a thousand miles away
You remind me of gold

Oh, and if my high school Chemistry teacher is reading this, I'm sorry Mr. Herbert!

And when we're alone we never quarrel
I'm miles away now here's the moral
She's not the only flame in town

Over the distance we try to make sense
of surviving together while living apart.
Striving for balance, we rise to the challenge
of staying connected in spite of circumstance.

What will you do
When you wake up one morning
To find that God's made you plain
In a beautiful person's world
And all those quick recipes have let you down
And you're twenty and a half
And you're not yet engaged
Will you go look for the boy who says
"I love you let's get married and have kids."

(Billy Bragg, "The Busy Girl Buys Beauty")

Note One: This entire lyric seems to be sung in one breath.
Note Two: I have woke up with this song in my head at least twice in the past week, but today was the first time I bothered to listen to it.
