My husband's been back East for a few days and calls me every few hours or so to say stuff like "I'm driving past the Cambridge Courthouse where we got married and I'm thinking of you," and "I'm standing at the spot on Astor Place where I kissed you for the first time and I'm thinking of you". It's all terribly romantic and very, very much appreciated. I just hope he brings me back bagels - lots of bagels!
In the past few days, I've watched quite a few movies which makes me very happy, and a few episodes of "Sex and the City". I'd only ever seen the finale of that show. Now after watching a few of the first episodes, I do think I'm hooked. I'll have to rent all of the seasons. Ok, maybe after finals, when I'm on break.
The movies I've seen are: "Sweet Home Alabama" - cute and I liked both endings that they gave us (and I love Reese Witherspoon), "Overboard" - predictable but cute comedy, and today I saw "Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason". I enjoyed the last one very much. I think the best part about both Bridget Jones movies is that Renee Zellweger is a normal-sized woman (whereas in "Chicago", she was nearly anorexic).
Oh, and I've got a few new episodes of "Dead Like Me" to catch up on (thanks,
theraevyn for hooking me up with the info!) And I get to go see "Alexander" on opening night with my own Ancient Greek warrior. Yay!
