Henna recipe for myself

Ok, I'm trying:
appx 200 grams of henna
5 demitasse spoons of ground cloves
2 demitasse spoons of indigo (I'm being a little wimpy here, I must admit. I could probably add more indigo and it wouldn't turn blue)

Results tomorrow . . .

Sounds yummy! Are the cloves for scent or do they confer some other property to the dye?

The cloves are supposed to make it a little darker red. I think it's darker but I'm not sure - I guess I'll have to wait until someone else sees me this morning. It looks a little darker than the pumpkin shade it was yesterday. Plus, the cloves make my hair smell really good!

I think I really did wimp out on the indigo though because there's no real purplish tint to it like I was expecting (more of a burgundy is what I've been striving for).
