We just got back from Pennsic about an hour ago. Ajax and I spent the night at a hotel and got ourselves clean. Clean!!! We're contemplating going to get our toenails cleaned at a nail place but don't know if that's too mean to put someone else through.

I got to see about everyone I wanted to see at Pennsic, at least for a little while. The rain, and the fact that I am now a sissified Caidian, hampered my plans for going to visit people during the last few days. (Like when I was on my way to go find [livejournal.com profile] sandhawke and [livejournal.com profile] hawkegirl and then the skies opened up.) At least I got to give most of my friends hugs and that was important to me.

I'll write more later, but let me say that one camp has dubbed me the "Medieval Mary Kay" for my Turkish Bath class. It was definitely one of the highlights to count 37 women following me to the classic swimming hole for Wednesday's class!! All week long, women kept coming up to me to show me their hennaed hair and they were all very happy. Look out world, I'm breeding more redheads!!

p.s. After pulling some teeth, America West gave me a new bag today when I complained about my lost-for-2-days-torn-luggage.

If you ever have any other problems with them, let me know. That's who Nic works for, and he is god there.

Thanks. I will keep that in mind. It's good to have friends with (boy)friends in high places :)

Hi! I feel *terrible* that we didn't manage more than a hug in passing a couple of times--but just when my schedule opened up, I got something that appeared to be bronchitis and was more-or-less confined to camp by the combined efforts of my lord (protective and proprietary? Not him!), a master herbalist, a former war chireurgon and several bodyworkers.

I'm sorry to hear you were sick. That sucks, especially at Pennsic. I'm glad I got to see you dance for a little while at the Ladies' Tea, even though I was a bit drunk. I hope you are feeling better now.

It was most definitely a bummer.

Well, there's always next year. Next year for sure!

Welcome home, and well met! I really enjoyed the Mary Kay class and your lessons proved invaluable: my lovely Lady's hair looks amazing. Thank you for your impeccable hostessing, and for the lovely birthday gift of 12. ;)

It was nice meeting you too. I'm glad that you and your Lady like her hair. As for the bday gift, I'm glad I could help . . .

Yay clean feet. Such a difference small things make.

Yes, indeed, I am delighted with my hair, but perhaps even more delighted that I got to see you rather more this War, and in a much better mood. And, of course, I am more than happy to dispel some of the mystery around the identity of my radiant Lady. *grin*
