I tried to watch a movie tonight but the screen kept going blue and I could hear the movie in the background. Good thing it wasn't a great movie since I only saw half of it.

I dropped my palm pilot today and now I think it's really screwed up. The screen looks like . . . a bad photocopy - all streaky and the stuff on the screen wobbles a bit. I only dropped it on a carpet. Better sync it before I lose stuff.

S apparently couldn't make computers work today either. Maybe the fires are afftecting everything somehow.

I didn't sleep much last night and it made the whole day seem off. I took a nap when I came home from school and now it's 11 pm and I should really think about doing some homework.

I am still considering going to San Fran for the weekend of November 7th. It is now being billed to me by my husband as a necessary weekend of sanity and to see some friends and have fun in addition to the concert I want to see (Wendy Rule - Australian pagan musician goddess who doesn't get around these parts often). It's making the $100 flight seem worth it. It still seems extravagant to me. Like I should really save the money for going back East in December. I dunno.

What with the fires and everything, I've been thinking about you lots... are you safe? Any chance it's going to reach you guys?

We're safe. The smoke is affecting the air quality (which isn't so good to begin with). I'm not riding my bike this week because of it. I don't think the fire will reach us - they're East of the city and we're as far West as you can get. We'll keep you updated though.
