Um, I'm watching this new show "For Love or Money" and I don't get it. I mean, it's just like "The Bachelor" and I know I'm watching it because Mondays are long days and I need brain candy by the end of it. But, I'm thinking, "Are most women in America really like this? Do they all want to find the one true Mr.Right and/or lots o'money?"

Um, puke .

i watched about 2 minutes of TV while [livejournal.com profile] satyrix was futzing with the quasi-home-theatre setup in order to extract sound from said glass monstrosity for last Saturday's Good Wine/Bad Movie festivities. I couldn't understand what was going on. The show was The Price is Right, and I remember watching it, religiously as a younger media-addict, but as I had a pre-adolescent flashback, I found myself wondering why the hell people watched this shit. It just made me angry and sad that the common denominator is so friggin' LOW.

commoditizing love is asinine. there is no one true mister right, unless you're living in the matrix--in which case, everyone needs to get on the keanu train. i refuse to remain involved with someone concerned with material wealth and/or assets. that amounts to prostitution under the guise of an honest, emotional involvement, and i find it sickening...at least hookers are up-front about it... manipulative behavior disgusts me.
