Last night's Buffistas prom was fabulous indeed! Way more fun than my prom back in high school, fer sure. I did wear the pink vinyl Marilyn Monroe dress with my original prom jewelry and it went over very well. All the buffistas looked smashing!
I broke out my Buffy journal that I got a few years back when I visited LA for the first time. It had since been untouched, so I decided to use it as a yearbook and went around and got people to sign it. It was a good way to match names and faces and is now a good souvenir of the face to face.
People wrote normal yearbook things like "Have a good summer" and some Buffy-related things like "Rember when we blew up Sunnydale High?". It tickled me to no end and the gesture was well received.
S was fairly bored at the prom. I didn't expect him to hang around long at all. We went to Bar Sin for a while afterwards and it was my turn to be bored (and have people step on the bow of my dress because it's a very long bow and the place was packed). But we did meet a few nice people and if they turn out to not be flakes, that would be nice as well as surprising.
So, a Saturday that started out badly turned out to be really nice. I spent today studying at home and on the beach (chasing papers around. Remember to put them in a binder next time).
Soon it will be time to coerce the cat into the bathroom for his biweekly flea bath. Wish me luck!
