On break and venting

Ok, I know at least jennylisa can empathize with this. I thought I was grasping this Chemistry class and I totally blanked out and bombed today's quiz. I know he drops a bunch of low grades and only counts 5 but I'm more than a little freaked.

I mean, I thought it was making sense and now . . . maybe it's not?
Maybe it's just an off day. Ugh, back for the last hour.

Eek, chemistry!

Chemistry is the science class I actually had to work at - the only one I spent entire weeks working from memory rather than figuring stuff out based on an understanding of the concepts. It started to click about a month before the end of the school year (I was taking chem 2 my senior year of H.S.) but I haven't taken it since. I don't know what made it start to click other than over-exposure and an intense desire not to have to memorize everything for the final. So, while I can't help you, I totally sympathize. If you'd like to try explaining chemistry to someone clueless about it, I'd be happy to listen (and my phone calls on my cell are essentially free after 9 pm EST ;) and ask questions.

Thanks - I have you on the list of people to call first if my husband (who says he did really well in high school Chemistry) can't help me out.
