I'm up early again for my second day of a Medical Qigong seminar at my school. Yesterday was great, even though I had learned some of it before. I am being inspired to do this again, and that's worth every dollar of the seminar I suppose. Plus I'm getting to know one of my classmates a little better.

Eventually this will lead to level 2 and then level 3 where they show us how to emit qi. How cool is that? (This is kinda like a Chinese version of Reiki, in case y'all are wondering.)

Just a few notes to some friends before I get ready to go:
[livejournal.com profile] sandhawke: I wish you and [livejournal.com profile] hawkegirl all the best thru the labor. I'll be thinking about you both all day.

[livejournal.com profile] ame_chan: I can't wait to see your new hair. I've done the same impulsive "I want bangs" thing before.

Have a great day. I'm off to Hogwarts!

I was a lot more with it today in the Medical Qi Gong seminar as I had enough sleep last night. It seemed like we learned a lot more meditations today than yesterday. I got them all on tape to help remind me later.

The most exciting thing for me was probably the easiest meditation. We went to the school garden and were told to connect to the elements. I felt vibrations of a tree, a Chinese herb plant, a pond, a few sunflowers and the air. Each of them were different. Either I hadn't done this before or it's been a while but it was really neat.

Now we have a chart of when to do which meditations over the next 8 months until the next level seminar is available. Now all I need is the discipline to do them at least for a little while every morning. In the next level we get to learn how to do qi emission and work on other people. How cool is that?

Other than that, [livejournal.com profile] merchimerch and I watched "Mona Lisa Smile" tonight. It was a good movie but scary. I'm grateful I didn't go to college in 1953.

I'm playing hooky from school tomorrow. I spent way too much time there this weekend.
