New things

I think I became Californian today when I told a Verizon customer service representative that she was "awesome" at the end of the call.

I got locked out of the office of job #1 today when I left to go to the restroom. I asked someone in a neighboring office for help and he gave me the phone number of the landlord but wouldn't let me use his phone to call them. Fat loada good that did me.

Luckily my boss was due to arrive within a half hour, and she did. She then proceeded to lock her keys in the trunk of her car. How soon until Mercury goes direct??? Not soon enough!!!

I started part time job #3 today. Good, brainless filing fun. The people are nice and the job is low stress.

Our new temporary roommate arrived today and she seems great. We won't see much of her because she's doing an intensive 9 week Bikram yoga training. (Our cat is welcoming her into the house right now by guarding her bed as she sleeps.)

We had a going away dinner for merchimerch, even though she doesn't leave for another 10 days but this was the only day we could do it. I made pasta sauce according to my Italian grandma's 'secret' recipe and it was a hit. *pats self on back* Most of our neighbors showed up and met the new roomie and bon voyaged merchimerch.
