I had the apt. to myself last night so I rented a few videos and hung out and did nothing else. I had been feeling sick for the past few days - sore throat and swollen glands that only a lot of motrin could fix. I woke up feeling fine this morning.

I rented "The Vagina Monologues" and a tape with 4 episodes of "Sex and the City". I do not have HBO so I wanted to see what all the fuss was about.

"The Vagina Monologues" were funny, sad, empowering and beautiful. Wow! It was amazing how many women Eve Ensler had interviewed - hundreds of them. She asked them all the same questions, like: "If your vagina could get dressed, what would it wear?" and "If your vagina could speak, what would it say?"

It was great to see Ensler perform her own work. I would love to have seen someone like Brooke Shields have performed the monologues too. Quite a few actresses have performed them and I think Shields was among them. (I have a wicked crush on her since I saw her on "Suddenly Susan" - she's actually grown into quite the attractive amazon.)

"Sex and the City" was much funnier than I imagined it would be. When S* came home and saw the last few episodes with me, he asked if all women in New York were really that neurotic about men. He remembers how neurotic I was when we first met in NY but says that the characters on the show were more so. Phew! Glad to hear it.

I am so glad that I picked the tape that had John Corbett in all of the episodes! He played Chris the DJ on "Northern Exposure", remember? I used to have a crush on him and the actress that played Maggie. It was the perfect "lust" show for me when I was a new bi babe in college.

So, if anyone wants to entertain me and tell me what would your vagina say or wear, post it below.
