I am moved to tears right now. [livejournal.com profile] ame_chan had posted about the National Student Walkout/ Protest a few days ago in her lj. I joined her and her daughters outside of UCLA today to protest the war with Iraq. Her daughter So-chan got interviewed for television. I held back the tears as I listened to her speak. I was really proud of her. Another woman was there with her 6 year old son. It was so good to have them there. Although [livejournal.com profile] ame_chan and I decided it was time to leave when it started getting rowdy because we were concerned about the girls.

Now I'm watching the coverage on the news. On all the channels. A lot of students all around the world protested. We made a difference.

Good for you! I wanted to go, but it was a little too cold here (WI) to take my 2-month-old out. In Madison, the newspaper reported more than 5000 people marched, including 600 high school students. Go us!

Thanks! I totally respect not taking your 2 month old out in the cold. You have to take care of your own first.
Nice to meet you. How did you find me?
