I've uploaded my SoFoBoMo book!! You can see my SoFoBoMo page here:
http://www.sofobomo.org/2009/books/DeniseCicuto/My-chosen-family/

There's a reduced size version PDF of the blurb proof there.
(The PDF was too large to upload so I only uploaded one image from it to the SoFoBoMo page. If you'd like to see the whole PDF, let me know and I can email it to you.)

You can also see the first 15 pages of the final version at the blurb bookstore here:
http://www.blurb.com/books/737896
(If you want to buy a copy, click on the the "About Book" link on the upper right of that page. I'm not marking the price up. What you see is what blurb charges.)

In the end, it has 51 photos (only one of which I didn't take).
30 people (and pets) posed for me.
I'm happy it's done. It was a great learning experience.
It might not be perfect, but it's done!!

Well, shoot! I apparently need to have someone help me shrink the final version somehow because it's too large to email :(

Leopard's Preview in its "Save As" function has a Quartz filter called "Reduce File Size" that might help a bit. For the original, surely there must be some web space available.

Congratulations, and hopefully the first to many more!

Yay! I could see the pictures in the preview. But the text was too tiny to make out, and I really wanted to read it as I viewed the pictures.

It's wonderful! You are such a great photographer, and I think it's great you got to share your art and your family with the world at the same time.

Yay! There is so much love in your life. It fills me with warm fuzzies.

COOL!!! Can we actually buy the actual book?? (I'd love to have one!)

From: [identity profile] nisaa.livejournal.com

Yes! If you follow the link to the blurb page, you can order it. I'm not marking it up at all. (It cost me $42 for a hardcover including shipping.)

Well done! I would love to see the whole thing sometime. You've inspired me on a couple new projects. :)

It looks so beautiful! And makes me all warm and fuzzy to see pictures of all the lovely folks in it (most of whom I know).

Great job hon!

Dear gods, I just burst into tears looking at the last picture page.

The book is fabulous. As it went on and on, all I could think was "I love my friends." :D

This is really beautiful, Denise. I'm a little sniffly, but in a really good way. :)
