I went to see the Diane Arbus exhibit at LACMA tonight with S. It was a huge exhibit and quite fabulous. And the Erte exhibit was breathtaking - I didn't even know it was there until we got to the museum - an added bonus. Unfortunately, the bookstore didn't have a reproduction of his sketch of a Turkish Sultana with the correct raised clogs. I'll have to find it elsewhere.

Then we went out for Ethiopian food and came home early. Oh, and I got to the museum from school by bus and it was not a hassle. Two buses, 45 minutes.

Does anyone know of a good popup blocker? I tried installing one last week and it works about half of the time. I'm even willing to pay if I have to. Really.

Pop-Up Stopper Free Edition 3.1.101

That's the best one I've found, and it's free! The link is:

http://download.com.com/3000-7786-10246779.html?tag=lst-4-2

but if that doesn't work, just go to download.com and do a search for "popup" and sort by "downloads." It'll be like the second choice.

However will you repay me for this I wonder...? ;-)

you mean when you're web browsing? why don't you use Mozilla? There is an option to only open a new window when you specifically ask it to, ie, when you click on a link, or right+click-new+window. plus, it has tabbed browsing, so you can have one window open, but open to multiple websites.

then you're also less vulnerable to internet explorer security problems.

If you have to use IE, then try this: toolbar.google.com. So far it's worked well for me.

Re: Erte exhibit - do you know if it's a travelling exhibit?! I _love_ Erte.

*hugs* to you and S.

Yumm...ethiopian food. That's one of the things I dislike about the Vermont situation - so many good restaurants, but not a lot of culinary variety, ya know?

I think that this is the one I tried and it didn't work enough. I will download it and try it - maybe it's a different version that I got.

However will you repay me for this I wonder...? ;-)

How would you like me to repay you?

I don't know if it's a traveling exhibit. Check out www.lacma.org to find out. *hugs*

And I was thinking last night how this is one of the things I do like about LA. Now all I have to find is a Tibetan restaurant and get some salted tea with butter - just because it's good and weird.

Ah, see there the culture of Vermont steps up. Hippies, remember? Tibetan teahouses we've got.

if not Mozilla,

then try using the Netscape browser. They have all KINDS of security settings as far as cookies, popups, younameit. I have been using that for a while now and lurve it. No popups here!

Nope, but I think it'll be around for a while. Check out www.lacma.org
