I am currently revelling in the fact that I have the morning off from school. We have a new Pathophysiology teacher and he couldn't make this one class. Ok, so we have to make it up on Saturday. But then it'll be at a reasonable hour like 2pm.

Yesterday was very nice and more than made up for Saturday. I got up early again to move the car off of the street and to be up in time to go to my school's Chinese New Year celebration. I even made french toast for the family and everything before 9am. Eager beaver me.

[livejournal.com profile] merchimerch accompanied me to the school celebration. I got to introduce her to a bunch of people in kind of a whirlwind. The renewal ceremony was nice. I go to a Taoist school and I had been wanting to see what this ceremony was like. One thing I learned was that the Catholics don't have a corner on aerobics. We did a fair bit of kneeling and bowing throughout the ceremony.

One of my teachers did his best impression of a monkey, since it's the year of the Monkey. It was priceless.

I came home and went for my weekly(ish) walk to the Farmer's Market with my husband. He kept stopping along the way to pick wildflowers and put them in my hair. It was very cute and sweet.

My husband is indeed a goon. I saw him deadlift 505 pounds yesterday. I was both impressed and concerned as I watched. For myself, I'm just glad I went to the gym yesterday. I may not lift very heavy things, but at least I went and worked out.
