Watched "Bend it Like Beckham" tonight with T and R and our neighbor J. I thoroughly enjoyed it, even though I'm not much into soccer. I was surprised that I recognized one of the stars, Parminder Nagra, who is also one of the new interns on "ER". She was great . One of the bonus features was the director showing the audience how to make Aloo Gobi. Her mom and aunt were in the background telling her what she was doing wrong. It was priceless. I love DVDs.
If you're one of my friends from Massachusetts, you can skip this next bit, coz I don't want to rub this in.
The weather was absolutely gorgeous here today. I ran errands this morning in the car and nearly broke a sweat sitting at lights in the sunshine in a black shirt. I got some new sexy underwear at Ross (better than doing laundry and made my hubby very happy).
We ate brunch in the garden in the sunshine. T exclaimed "I love my family!" which is always nice to hear, especially when you haven't heard her cheery voice in many months!
Then I rode my bike around Santa Monica, mostly running more errands and just people watching and enjoying the weather. It's one of the first times I've gotten to ride my bike since I've been home from vacation. And I'm feeling much better. It's always nice to be able to breathe thru your nose when riding a bike.
I'm taking advantage of the free time I have until there's too much homework to do. I did trudge through some of my homework tonight, although it was very hard to focus. I'm looking forward to the end of Mercury Retrograde around Thursday in case it helps at all.
