Ring of power

I used my wedding ring today in a most amusing way. I was walking down the street to the bus stop when I see this guy crossing the street - strutting across the street. I knew why he was crossing the street and I was in a hurry and had no time for it. When he got close to me, I held up my hand, showed him my ring and said "Married!" and kept walking. He said something like "I still love you anyway".

The ring of power. It works.

In other news, I have two of my very own red biohazard boxes now! I know that this probable only interests a few of you out there ( like [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]). I transferred some needles (very carefully and with gloves on and no sticks) from two little boxes to a bigger box for my boss today. When I asked her what she wanted to do with the boxes, she asked if I wanted them.
Yay! My husband was afraid when I gleefully showed them to him.

Other than that, I'm sick with a cold and feel like poop. Luckily I got an acupuncture treatment and some herbs this morning. Plus my boss gave me some suggestions on stuff to take. It's good to work for a doctor. So, I'll be home tonight curled up with my Anatomy coloring book and a movie and going to sleep early. I would really prefer to go see Hedwig but I know that staying out that late will make me feel worse :( Have fun for me tonight.

Maypole dance advice?

I kinda need advice on how to run a Maypole dance coz I said I'd run one
at a May Day celebration at our acupuncture school's learning garden.
Yes, I go to a school where I have been asked to run a Maypole. How cool is
that?

So, I know the basics - you get a pole/tree and you get some ribbons and
people weave around it. And I think to make things easier, you tell every
other person that they start "Up" or "Down" first, right?

Um, so what else do I need to know?
