I wish for peace
Ya know, I might ask people to pray for peace at our housewarming party on Saturday.
I don't know how - either a group non-religion, non-denominational prayer or maybe I can ask everyone to make a paper crane or I don't know what. Or we can dance and drum for peace (what? do a zar to exorcise the demon named Shrub?). I guess it's the pagan in me saying all this. I need to send some energy out there into the world saying that we don't want this and we want it to end it soon.
I am having a few glasses of wine and not listening to the news on the television. Now I am reminded why I have a Zen alarm clock. I got it after 9/11 because I couldn't wake up to the news and wouldn't get out of bed after hearing it.
ame_chan is thinking about having a candlelight vigil tomorrow night in Culver City. Count me in.
One more thing I want to say is: Do what is important to you now : make art, make love, whatever. Tell people you love them now . It's never too late. A lot of us thought of this after September 11th. Think about it before a possible disaster.
Peace.
