I had a great time at
shaktiqueen 's party last night. Very friendly and poly and good people. And, yay,
ame_chan and her hubby were there and were nice enough to give me a ride home because the 'gay pirate roberts' wanted to go out and play some more and I was too tired. That's my new nickname for Ajax, btw, when he wears a certain outfit with a pirate coat.
Anyway, today I got back to work on the Rya rug since I only have a week left of vacation and it would be nice to have a few hundred dollars at the end of it all. I did discover, however, that it's making me wheeze after a few hours - the wool thread probably. But I'm getting faster at the knotting, which is good. Probably going to have to break up working on it to only 2 hours at a time.
Saw the making of Two Towers on telly tonight - "Return to Middle Earth". The actors seemed to have a blast making the films. The actors all look so much better with long hair and stubble (in the case of Aragorn, in particular) or maybe that's just my taste or something.
Oh, and we saw the easteregg on the first DVD last night at the party. Too funny. I am feeling like a little kid and want to stay up all night now to finish "The Hobbit" so I can start reading the trilogy. S has a beautiful hardcover version of it.
g'night
