Room for rent in Venice starting August 1st
We really like our roommate and are sad to see him go. But, grad school is calling him, so we need another person to come share the place with us.
The apartment: A 2 bedroom garden apt. a block from Venice Beach. Small apt. building with only four units and friendly neighbors.
The room: 10x9 feet. Really, it's only big enough for one person, in case you were wondering (people have asked already). We had four people in this place for a month and it was a little too close for comfort. The closet is directly across the hall from the bedroom. There is some extra space in the living room for bookshelves.
The roommates: We are a married polyamorous couple, which, simply put, means we have an open marriage. (See: Big Love without all the religion and the women get to have boyfriends or girlfriends too.) We’re looking for a roommate who is ok with this. He is a weight lifting, SCA stick fighting, recent massage school graduate, Burner and computer geek. She is a bicycle commuting, Buffy/Angel/Firefly/Farscape fan and fourth year acupuncture student. There are also two cats and a very enthusiastic dog who likes to chase the cats around and lick your feet.
The rent: $700 per month. A parking space comes with the room, which is key in this neighborhood. Rent also includes utilities, wired or wifi internet connection and housecleaning. We do ask for one month's security as well.

The polyamorous couple thing is a non-issue. If you two are good with it than it is none of my business. :)
I'm a big geek. Dungeons & Dragons, Larps, done a few boffer weekends, World of Warcraft. Big ol gamer geek. Buffy/Angel/Firefly/Farscape are a big plus. Hopefully you have the DVDs so I can catch whatever episodes I've missed. :)
The $700 including utilities, internet and **housecleaning** is huge. Parking space is huge. Airconditioning?
I do need an address or a cross street kinda thing so I can mapquest and make sure the location will work for me. But other than that I'm liking everything I've read.
