The world seems determined to not let me sleep

I went to sleep around 3 after watching "Metropolis" - the animated movie. It was good but felt a lot longer than it actually was. S got home around 4 or so. He tried to wake me up at 8. Phone rang at 9. Apparently two of our friends from New York - J & M have won free plane tix to Las Vegas and want to come visit us in January. J had to dress up as a turkey to get them, but what the hell!

Phone kept ringing with hangups. I would really like 7 consecutive, uninterrupted hours of sleep. Don't know when I'll get them. hey, but as of this morning, I'm on break until December 1st!!! Yay!

S and I are going to check out the LA Central Library today. Sounds geeky, I know\, but fun too.

Will try calling A again to wish her a happy bday and then try for some more sleep.

So, tonight I was actually forward with a woman (Go me!)
And I got shot down (Ouch!)
S and I got together for dinner with A. We met her last weekend at an event and she was (apparently) very flirtatious with me (S noticed, I didn't).
Before S came back to the table, I asked A if she was interested in seeing just me again or the both of us. She said she wasn't interested in anything sexual right now. I expressed confusion because she had been so . . . so . . . "I'm very flirtatious, " she said. Um, yeah.
And I told her that I'm usually not that forward with people.
So, I guess good for me for being forward.
Just gotta learn to do it more often and increase my 'odds of winning' or some such nonsense.
